*(optional)* The font "SNC Script"... download here to your Windows Fonts folder. I'm assuming you have quite a bit of experience using Paint Shop Pro so a minimal amount of screen shots were provided with this tutorial. *REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN!* Let's begin! 1. Open a new transparent 600 x 600. This gives us room to work and we can crop later. 2. Load the bb_christmascard1.sel 3. Flood-fill with the xmas45 ("happy holidays") pattern and deselect. 4. Lower the opacity to 75. 5. Add a new rastor layer 6. Load the bb_christmascard2.sel 7. Flood-fill with the xmas41 (christmas stripes) pattern. 8. Add a new rastor layer. 9. Load the bb_christmascard3.sel 10. Flood-fill with #E9DDC2 and leave selected. 11. Effects - Plugins - Xenofex - Stain with the following settings: ![]() **Now would be a good time to save (Ctrl+S)** 12. Deselect. 13. Add a drop shadow. ...:::Vertical = 0:::...:::Horizontal = 2:::...Opacity = 80:::...blur = 10:::... 14. Add the ribbon tube on a new layer and move just below your stained layer so that it overlaps just a bit (see the finished product below if you don't understand what I mean). 15. Add a drop shadow, same settings as before. 16. Add a new rastor layer. 17. Using your text tool, add the text you'd like to see on the front. I used SNC Script, size 16 Bold, stroke=null and fill=glitter_gold04 (should be in your patterns folder). 18. Deselect and add another drop shadow. ...:::Vertical = 1:::...:::Horizontal = 1:::...Opacity = 100:::...blur = 1:::... and center the text on your stain. 19. Merge layers visible and rename this layer "left panel" **Now would be a good time to save (Ctrl+S)** 20. Use your mover tool to move the panel all the way to the left of your canvas to move it out of the way. It's now time to do the right panel. 21. Add a new rastor layer. 22. Load the bb_christmascard4.sel 23. Flood-fill with #E9DDC2. 24. Invert selection 25. Add another drop shadow. ...:::Vertical = 0:::...:::Horizontal = 2:::...Opacity = 80:::...blur = 10:::... 26. Deselect. 27. Add one of the accent tubes on a new layer and resize this layer if necessary. 28. Lower the opacity to 50%. 29. Add a new layer. 30. Using your text tool, add your message...same font and settings you used on the left panel. 31. Add a drop shadow, same settings as step #18. 32. Layers - Arrange - Send to top so that your top layer is your text layer. **Now would be a good time to save (Ctrl+S)** 33. Hide the left panel layer by clicking the glasses in your layer pallet. 34. Merge the other layers visible and rename the new merged layer "right panel". 35. Make your left panel the active layer by clicking on it and using your mover tool, move the left panel and line it up with the edge of the right panel so they overlap about 1 (one) inch. 36. Merge both layers visible. 35. Copy and paste as a new image to remove the extra blank canvas. 36. Merge all (flatten), save as a .jpg and you're done! These are my results. Today is:
